Here's a place to catalog what you've read this year. For those who made resolutions to read more (like I did) or just want to see how much you read in a year, this will be a lot of fun for you.

Welcome to the Book Club! We're aiming to create an engaging social group of individual's whose goal is to select a book each month and read, as and when you're able to within your busy life schedules, before partaking in discussions in and around the book and sharing any sort of influences it might have or could have upon you as an individual and a member of society.

Because this is a club, we ask that those of you interested in participating go through a simple process of making your willingness to participate known through replying to this thread and filling out the application following below:

The Sword of Truth is a series of 21 sword and sorcery novels and six novellas written by Terry Goodkind. The books follow the protagonists Richard Cypher, Kahlan Amnell, Nicci, Cara, and Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander on their quest to defeat oppressors who seek to control the world and those who wish to unleash evil upon the world of the living. While each novel was written to stand alone, except for the final three that were intended to be a trilogy, they follow a common timeline and are linked by ongoing events that occur throughout the series.

The series began in 1994 with Wizard's First Rule and Goodkind wrote eighteen more novels in addition to a novella titled Debt of Bones. The latest novel in the series, Heart of Black Ice, was released in 2020. As of 2008, 25 million copies of the series' books have been sold worldwide, and the series has been translated into more than 20 languages.

Of the growing list of possible options, which eBook reader platforms do you use?

Gone is a bestselling book series written by Michael Grant. The series is centered on the fictional American town of Perdido Beach and surrounding area, in which every human 15 and older vanishes. The town and surrounding areas become encased within an impenetrable energy barrier, with many of its inhabitants developing supernatural powers. The books follow the exploits of the protagonist, Sam Temple, as he battles antagonists Caine Soren and Drake Merwin, as well as a mysterious, malevolent creature, known as the Darkness or the gaiaphage (derived from Gaia, a Greek personification of the Earth, and "phage", a type of virus).

Apocalypse seems to be the new fad. What's your favorite?

As for me, I've always been a huge fan of The Maze Runner series by James Dashner and Gone by Michael Grant. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. The Maze Runner series tops my list because the concept of a virus, created by humanity, causing widespread plague and societal collapse is spot on (before COVID-19, mind you).
