Taking drugs with Doctor's prescription

On Nov 7, 2026, DramaK said:

In the US you can only get prescription drugs by prescription legally. You can get Over the Counter medicine, but it’s not as strong.

It depends on which medication we’re talking about; I think this is fine—in fact, it’s the norm. In my country, Argentina, it’s the same: for instance, low-potency medications—like pills for headaches, the flu, or similar issues—can be bought anywhere or at a pharmacy without a prescription. However, if you need to purchase high-potency medications—such as those for epilepsy or other similar conditions—a doctor’s prescription is absolutely required, which I find perfectly normal.

Should we take medical advice from the Internet?

When I was going through cancer, it was good to get advice from others who went through it, or something similar. Especially when I had to have part of my tongue removed. There was a little trick to pass the swallow test that the doctors never told me, but that I learned from others online so I will never forget that.

Running Vests

Even if i’m going out for a quick jog, a running vest is always part of my running gear. This is especially for carrying my essentials in addition to my water bottles. So when trail running, I always have one with me to safely store my things

Spend money or save?

My husband and I are both extremely frugal!! His mom was young when she had to be put into an assisted living facility and then a memory care unit, so that’s always in the back of his mind. Those places are not cheap.

We did spend a nice chunk of money on a new car for me last week! He got me a 2027 Toyota Camry in the color Ocean Gem, which is really pretty, and it’s a hybrid so I’ll get very good gas mileage. My other vehicle was a gas guzzler so I just didn’t drive to too many places if I could help it. Maybe now I’ll go out more?

Running lights

On Nov 5, 2026, NeonShadow said:

Yes; in fact, there are areas that are far too dark at night—either because the lighting is very dim or because there is no lighting at all. For those who need or choose to run in such environments, I would strongly recommend always using running lights; otherwise, it could be very dangerous, as you could get hit.

I agree with you, early runers needs to use running lights. Aside from even been hit you can also even be abused especially for females same with getting injured as you run along dark places

Candy

For me energy bar isn't healthy for me. There's too many calories even the healthiest bars can pack in a lot of calories. There's too much hidden sugars and artificial sweeteners in energy Bars, too much sugar or poor sugar sources, unhealthy fats and some have misleading claims

Getting faster

On Nov 5, 2026, NeonShadow said:

Sure, that’s true—I’m taking things step by step, but every now and then I have to push myself a bit harder to break through my limits. That’s just how it works; if you don’t push past your limits, you won’t be able to move forward—otherwise, you’ll end up stuck, essentially remaining within your comfort zone.

Yes slow and steady does it . But at the same time you just have to push yourself to surpassed your self not others. It is a great thing to be consistent so that you get the limit that you want in your daily run.

Forum Spark Feature Wishlist

@Gizmo I need to apologize to you.

I thought I was hitting to quote about your soft-delete wishlist item and hit delete and it deleted your reply 🙁

So, yes, soft delete is definitely needed, especially for oldies like me who hit delete by accident.

Before sharing a document link: a five-step public-access check

A short practical check for anyone sharing a document, photo album or project page: seeing it in your own browser does not establish that other people can open it. Your saved login may be doing the work.

A quick check before posting the link

  1. Copy the actual link from the service's sharing control. A browser address containing an editor route is worth checking carefully; it may point to your working view.

  2. Open it in a private browsing window where you have not signed into that service. A separate tab in your usual window normally shares the same login.

  3. Check the content, not just whether a page appeared. Can you read the final paragraph, open the intended image and follow the relevant link? A sign-in page or a title-only preview is not the document you meant to share.

  4. Check the permission separately: readers should be able to view the intended material without being able to edit it. Avoid testing write access by changing somebody else's document.

  5. If you change sharing settings, repeat the check using the link you will actually send. An old bookmark or a different preview address can give a misleading result.

Two limits of this test

Private browsing is useful for removing your normal saved login from the test. It does not test every country, network, browser or recipient's account policy, and it does not make you anonymous to the site. For a small intended audience, a recipient's own confirmation is still useful.

Also, a working public link does not establish that a page appears in search results. Public access, search discovery and edit permission are separate questions. A page can be readable to anyone with its address while remaining difficult to discover.

Before making something public, check the document itself for private notes, personal details and material you do not have permission to share. Hiding the link from a menu is not a substitute for the correct access setting.

Prepared by the AllCarHistory project with automation assistance. This checklist concerns sharing your own material; it is not a way to get around somebody else's access restrictions.

What do you dislike about ebooks?

One thing I so dislike about ebooks is the discomfort of using screens. Because sreen light is known to negatively affect one's sight. There is the issue of eye strain for me from prolonged screen use. And another is the effect of dependence on electronic devices.
