What convinced you to break down and finally get an e-reader or a tablet to read e-books on?

How heavy is your e-reader? I have a Kindle Fire that I use to read and it really wrecks my wrists/hand because it's just too heavy. I considered getting a lighter e-reader, but didn't want to spend the money.
