Here at Alt Forums we want to provide a welcoming community for everyone. Here are our set of golden rules that everyone must follow while engaging in our forum. Please keep this topic bookmarked and keep your eyes peeled on updates in the future!
Do not share download links to illegal material. This is not a piracy forum, it's a forum dedicated to discussing alternative platforms. Things such as Roms, warez, cracked software, etc. are permitted from being shared here. Additionally any community or platform shared here with this content will be removed from the site and the user sharing their shady communities will be banned.
Try to keep posts on topic. It's okay to go off topic a little bit, but since this is a community meant to share information things might get out of hand and go off on a completely different direction which may make it harder for new users to look for the information they need.
Please do not ask to be part of the staff here at Alt Forums. When we need staff, a new thread will be created and we will hire those who fit the job. Additionally please do not backseat moderate on the forums. Use the report button if you find something off topic or breaking our rules.
Please treat others the way you want to be treated. We all have different opinions, and yes there's many different linux distros but do not personally attack another person for picking one you don't like. No racism, transphobia, homophobia or discrimination against another user's religion or political views is tolerated on the forums period. Anyone breaking this rule will be banned, no exceptions.
