Let's see... Events running through my Void-- mind.....

Who is going to enter Urd's Sake House next, and what chaos is going to ensue?
Do I want to showcase some of Akiko's peers aboard the Horizon? Or do I want to continue on with Akiko's jouney monologue style?
What game system do I want to use in my Magical Girl game?
How do I debug a og:Meta image?
Do really have to go to work tomorrow? I'd rather get smashed on Bailey's Irish Cream...
I wonder how spicy that Habanero Pepper will be after I cook it in Orange Juice for an eternity?
I hope my homemade spaghetti sauce from scratch is good.
What else can I create?
I haven't been on Threads really at all today...
I should do some more forum promoting stuff.
And now I'm babbling to myself as I sit here and type this list out. Great.

xD You've got quite a bit on your mind it seems! I talk to myself too so you're cool. :P They say smart people engage in conversations with themselves. What's on my mind currently? That I need to start working on another video for my main Youtube channel. I have a few ideas in mind thankfully.

I've been meaning to promote Alt Forums on other places, I really need to do that. Also I need to find more platforms to talk about! I'm sure I'm missing some big ones. Off to lurking on r/redditalternatives and r/discordalternatives!

The big thing on my mind right now, despite a million other things: Should I quit my job?

I'm tired of always being the unseen hero. The one who ensures the place is clean and ready for the next day, that all the paperwork is done, always plastering a smile to my face for the customers. Like everything is wonderful!

I'm burned out. I'm in a ton of physical pain. I cried this morning on my day off because of work-related drama. I feel like I'm literally too old for this...for this abysmal job market. I look at my useless resume, and just want to burn it. I don't have the energy anymore to continue with the productivity requirement of being a citizen of humanity any longer.

Kinda pushes all my other little side projects and hobbies down the toilet, doesn't it?

I hope you can find a better job soon. I quit my previous job because of the burnout and the drama. Also the heat, in the summertime it was absolutely brutal to work in a factory that welds shelves.

Thank you for your thoughts. But if I'm being realistic, this Job Market totally sucks, and I don't see it improving any time soon. We've got flashing red lights of Recession Warnings, (and quite possibly worse, much worse), and right now I barely have enough energy to do my job, let alone deal with my resume, interviewing, and the anxiety that goes with the entire job search protocol.

And then I can add in all the trash with AI coming to steal all the office jobs. LOL

At least I'm still employed. So, I guess I'm alright. 😊

Yeah you're right about the job market. :S Also I am a bit weary about AI taking all the office jobs one day since I work in a office lol. Let's pray to whatever deity that it doesn't happen! As for me what's on my mind now is thinking of ways to promote Alt Forums on Reddit and other Reddit like places without coming off as spamming.

Look at Threads. I've had the most success finding people interested in my forum from Threads. Just join a conversation related to alternative operating systems and applications. Reddit's been hit or miss.

I haven't thought to use Threads yet to promote my sites, thank you for the suggestion! I've started using the platform again recently too.

I'm thinking about what platform to use for my new site. I bought the domain istandon.top and I plan on doing something with it, I just don't know which platform to use and I don't want to give it away I want it to be a surprise what I plan on doing with the domain name. xD

I really hope I get to keep my job… I won’t know until HR gets back to my manager. x_X Long story short I got sick with Covid, which is why I haven’t been active. I was out all last week and I had no sick time to cover it. Because I didn’t and I missed an entire week of work it had to be escalated to HR and my manager is waiting on a response from them to see what’s going to happen to me.

Meanwhile, I’m fighting a round of Depression. My vitamin D is probably plummeting because I’m sick (had a low-grade fever earlier today), I’ve got a giant queen sized mattress I need to dispose of and it weighs a ton, and I’m dealing with my forum being… dormant, for lack of a better term. I miss the heyday of forums being da place to hang out. I’ll eventually get over myself, I’m just struggling right now.

Thank you, I'm still not sure what HR is going to say. I don't know when I'm going to find out if I still get to keep my job or not. I hope you feel better soon and I definitely agree with the forum part of your post. I don't know how many times I see people talking on Reddit about how they miss forums, and every time I see those posts I immediately reply to them and mention that forums are still around.

Back when I frequented Reddit, I’d let others know, especially when people mention an interest in either anime or role playing, I’d bring up my forum. However, I think only like three people ever joined, and it was very short lived. I’m hoping now that I’ve started publishing my TTRPG system, offering something unique, that people may become interested and start spurring up some conversation, but time will tell.

Sadly, people have become addicted to the Dopamine thrill of short-form content that they can just whip up from under their couch cushion.

I hope that your job is still safe and secure. I think it would be pretty low of them to terminate you because you were ill.

Good news, I get to keep my job! I just need to make sure I’m not late and I also need to make sure not to call in until I get some sick days. Instead of giving me a verbal warning, since I was really sick they just decided to do a coaching. Going back to the forum thing, I continuously see people bring up that they miss forums on Reddit… And ever time I see those responses I make sure to reply to each one reminding people that forums are still around.
