Why do you like Forum Spark?

How would you compare it to other forum software? How long have you used it? Is there anyone just considering using it?

I think Forum Spark is the best free forum host. It's got the global login system that Proboards has, but it looks more professional and it's easier to use IMO. I highly recommend new forum owners to give it a go if they haven't yet!

Yeah, I think there's a good future with this. Who runs this software?

But I wonder how it makes money. Is there an upgrade option?

Cedric is in charge of the platform currently. :) Jamie founded it though. There's no upgrade options right now, but maybe Cedric will add something in the future.

I like Forum Spark, but it still seems to be in a major development stage. There are major problems with it, but I'm sure they can be fixed soon.

Curious what major problems you experience ?

The clickable emotions aren't working and there is html code in the private messages.

Clickable emoticons do work. But feel free to let me know how they are not working for you. And feel free to share a screenshot of the HTML code too. That shouldn't be happening.

So looks like the clickable emoticons from the quick reply work fine and show up in posts like this. 😀 But when you try and click on the ones I added when you create a thread, they don't show up in posts. :) <--- That should change into the emoticon I added but it doesn't. Also very odd that Jason's pm did have html code in his messages, but my reply to his message didn't have that formatting issue. This is what his message looks like:

I haven't used any free hosted platforms myself but I have used multiple forums run on free hosted platforms, for instance, proboards, jcink, and this one forum spark. Based on my experience as a user, I think Forum Spark is better because it is clean and fast.
