Forum Software Where You can Use an Instant Install Program

· 7 months ago · 2 replies · 165

Your free blog and forum software (WordPress, SMF, MyBB, phpBB etc.) can be installed with Softalicious or something similar. Who has done that? Do you prefer to do it that way, or do you prefer doing it the more difficult way? What benefits do you see in each way?

I've done this in the past, but only to test things out or to try out a new forum software. These days I just upload the files to the server and don't bother with Softalicious since sometimes they have the outdate version.

I can install free forum software such as MyBB etc. but I normally don't. Well, I have used VPS software and in that case, they didn't have uploading programs like Softalicious.

Now, as many know, the premium forum software like XenForo has to be hand-installed.
