Game remakes can bring old favourites back to life with improved graphics, smoother controls and modern features. However, some players feel that the original games have a unique charm that remakes cannot fully recreate.
Do you prefer modern remakes of classic games, or do you think the originals are better left untouched?
This is different strokes for different folks. For me I always like the remakes of games. I do believe that remakes are actually great games with improved graphics. When it comes to remakes I believe they incorporate new ideas, new mechanics, and new goals into them and it makes the game even a lot more desirable.
Remakes can improve the graphics and controls but the originals have nostalgia. I love both and some remakes are better, some are not.
When they are well-executed, they retain the original features while adding improvements—that’s great. But when they remove features that were already there, that’s not good. Often, fan-made remakes or mods are better because they preserve the existing features of the original game while simply adding enhancements.
