Do you practice karate?

G Greenpark · 2 weeks ago · 4 replies · 56

I have always been fascinated by self-defense technique and this is why I really love karate. During my childhood, I purchased a book that contained karate techniques. However, you can't simply learn karate just by reading a book. You actually need to practice it under the guidance of a learned master. So, do you love to practice karate? How often do you practice karate? Do you have a teacher?

Karate is good for self-defense and discipline. I have a plan to learn it. At least, to defend myself in case somebody wants to cheat me. But you need a master to teach you properly.

I never practised karate, but I remember when I was younger, I had a lot of friends, mainly male friends who would take classes after school at after-school clubs for karate.

It was something I had an interest in, and many always said it was good to have for self-defence, but my parents couldn’t always afford to allow me and my brothers to take classes so that was something we skipped.

Karate discipline is top notch but finding authentic one here is a real struggle. There are so many local instructors that are only after the money they want to make. They will just teach you the basics after collecting your money.

I don't practice karate, unfortunately, but I know it's a good sport for self-defense and even staying fit physically.
