What was the first video game you played?

Can you recall the very first video game you played? What age were you when you first played it? My first video game was Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. I was 4 years old, this was back in 1994. I remember my cousins had a Genesis and they brought it over to our grandparent’s house which is where my parents, sister and I were living at the time. We were all gathered around in the living room and the Genesis was hooked up to the tv. I was hesitant to play the game at first but once one of my cousins handed me the controller I was hooked. I kept dying in Green Hill Zone Act 1 lol.

The first game I played was Super Mario; back then, most Sony DVD players came with this game. I believe it was an NES/Famicom

I can never forget super Mario. I would be so excited to play it after school with my brother. Another one is Sonic the Hedgehog.

It’s a game that defined an era in video games. The first Sonic game I ever played was Sonic the Hedgehog 3 on a Sega console—it was so much fun! Plus, since the Sega console had only recently been released, the graphics were mind-blowing for that time.

The first video game that I remember playing would have been on the Sega Master System, and it was Alex Kidd in Miracle World that was built into the console, which we got for Christmas one year.

I do know that I played video games before that on the Atari, as that was the first console we played video games on when my dad introduced us to video games, but I can’t remember for the life of me what game I first played on the Atari.
