Well, the basic requirement is you need strong content ideas and the ability to present them in videos. Even though original content is important, technical aspects of video can help you build views and engagements. For instance, nicely edited videos have better chances of succeeding as compared to poor video but with good content.

You need to create contents that are able to hold people’s attention for the first 10 seconds. If they enjoy it they will probably open your channel and view more videos from you.

So first of all capture their attention and then retain it, so it all boils down to your video content.
