Do you use music to sleep?

H Henry · 1 week ago · 8 replies · 116

I know a couple of friends who can never go to bed unless they are playing songs. It is the music that they play on their music player that helps them sleep. Are you such a type?

I don’t need music to sleep, but I enjoy listening to soft music before going to bed. I’ve been doing this for years now and it calms me down before I eventually drift off to sleep.

Yes, playing music in the background helps me relax quite a bit when I’m trying to sleep; I often use the sound of rain in the background as well. I’d recommend you do the same—it’s very relaxing.

There are actually some nights that I play music to sleep at night. My partner doesn't love loud music at night. I lower the volume when I want to play music and sleep. More often than not, I play a good Christian music to meditate on and sleep.

If your partner finds it very bothersome—or if they listen to music to fall asleep that you find annoying—you could get a headband with built-in headphones. This way, you can sleep comfortably while listening to the music you like, at the volume you prefer, without disturbing anyone. Since it’s a headband, you can sleep comfortably with your head turned to the side on your pillow; it’s not like standard headphones that have a hard surface—does that make sense? I’d recommend it; it’s very comfortable and an ideal solution.

I sleep with my headphones on that is connected to Bluetooth. I listen to Spotify. I can’t sleep without some kind of noise and music for me is the best.

I have never heard about the headband with built in headphones. That's an amazing device for music freaks like us. Do you have an idea about it's retail price? Hope it is not too expensive.

Here in my country, it costs about 18 dollars—I’m not sure what the price is in your country. You could try searching Google for "headband headphones for sleeping," and you’ll find it; that way, you can also see what the headband-style headphones look like.

I like to sleep in complete silence, I don’t play music while I am trying to sleep. But sometimes I listen to binaural beats for relaxation and as I listen to it I sometimes fall into sleep.
