Was Martinez right to speak out against Man United owners?

H Henry · 1 week ago · 4 replies · 28

Martinez, the Manchester United defender, spoke against the owners of Manchester United after their loss against Atletico Madrid in the second game of their Uefa Champions League Campaign.

He defended the manager, Carrick, and said that the board didn't invest more into the team during the summer transfer window. What do you make of such comments? Was he right to speak out?

Lisandro MartĂnez spoke out because he does not want his contract extended and is looking for an exit. He pushed to leave the club during the summer.

I think Martinez had a point in defending Carrick and raising concerns about recruitment, but players need to be careful about how they criticize the board publicly. If the squad lacks depth, the owners deserve questions about their investment. Still, the best approach is to speak honestly while keeping the focus on improving the team, rather than creating more division at the club.

Someone just had to speak out and call the owners of Manchester United out. And trust an Argentine playet, they would always say their minds without patronising anyone. Nothing wrong with what Martinez did.

Bruno Fernandes spoke out against Carrick and his staff last night after Como beat Manchester United 4-1. The dressing room is gone.
