Yes, I do this all the time for my little cousins and nieces. I get them quite cheap from thrift stores so I don't have a problem buying them. Sometimes I cleaned them again begire handing to my little relatives and they appreciate them too.
I don’t buy second-hand toys as much now, but when my children were much younger, I never minded buying second-hand toys for them, especially if they had seen a toy they liked and showed a great interest in it, as long as it was in good condition.
A lot of the second-hand toys I used to buy were from charity shops, and the one charity shop that I used the most, which was St Andrew’s Hospice in the UK, ended up being the charity that helped my dad towards his end-of-life care and paid for him to stay in a care home so he could pass comfortably.
I have always been a firm believer that if you can buy second-hand from a charity shop, and especially a registered charity, you should do so, as you can help so many people who otherwise would not receive the help they could have without the help from that specific charity.
