Are Video Games Becoming Too Expensive?

E eLdavis · 2 weeks ago · 2 replies · 47

Gaming used to feel like a hobby where buying a game gave you almost everything you needed. Today, some players feel the cost of gaming has become harder to justify, especially with expensive new releases, downloadable content, season passes, and paid extras. Do you think video games are genuinely too expensive now, or are they still worth the money?

Games are becoming too expensive these days. It's making games a no go area for many of us. In my home country, it's almost impossible to afford them. We wait for sales or buy used ones.

Yes, they are becoming too expensive; there should be a price cap. It makes no sense for games to cost 100 dollars or more—when you really think about it, it’s just crazy. That’s a lot of money for a single game. I feel the same way about movies or anything else. I understand there are exceptions, but that much money for a game is just too expensive. All this will do is give people even more reason to resort to piracy; that way, they’ll never put a stop to it.
