When it comes to watching movies and TV shows, using subtitles is a very big deal for me because it helps me to focus on what I'm watching 100%. It doesn't matter if the movie or TV show was made in English, I still prefer to use subtitle when watching it.

My daughter and I tend to use a lot of subtitles when watching anything related to BTS and they speak Korean.
This is absolutely essential when watching movies in a language you don't understand. If the movie isn't dubbed into your language and you don't understand the original language, you don't have a better option. Although nowadays, with AI, you can create a mediocre dub of the movie in your native language, this will obviously improve as AI advances.
