Humanoid robots with fully autonomous AI brains — are we ready for this?

We're moving past robots that just follow pre-programmed routines into ones running actual autonomous AI decision-making — reacting, adapting, and "thinking" in real time without human input. China's recent humanoid robot showcases reportedly pushed this further than Tesla's Optimus. Does an autonomous AI brain in a human-shaped body excite you, or does it cross into "this is how sci-fi movies start" territory? Where should the limits be?
