How are teachers treated in your country?

I have always liked the teaching profession. So I got a teaching job this term but I'm thinking of stopping at the end of the session. Teachers in my country are treated poorly and the pay rate is very poor. It is worse in the private schools as you get more workload and the school proprietors have refused to employed more teachers. Even those that could have come in to teach can't, as the take home pay can't take them home at the end of the day. So how's the teaching profession in your country?

Teachers are treated poorly here and barely make any money. My brother is an educator but he makes most of his money doing private tutoring rather than working within a school.

In India, teachers are deeply respected because they guide students not only in studies but also in values and character. Even when teachers become friendly at higher levels, students continue to treat them with respect and gratitude.

I believe this friendly relationship makes learning easier, as students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their problems. The traditional guru-shishya (teacher-student) bond is based on trust, respect, and mutual growth, which still influences Indian classrooms today.

I believe the is same is true for Australia even if I have studied briefly at TAFE (Technical and Further Education) there.
