I’ve been busy this summer doing home maintenance and I’m sick of it. I need a different house that’s smaller and newer I guess?
I feel that, I do. My house needs some TLC on the exterior but I haven’t gotten around to it yet.

If it’s rot, don’t let it get too bad! I was busy the last two weeks getting rid of rot by the back door where water was seeping up in the wood and I got out the old stuff and built up layers of epoxy wood filler little by little. I’m no pro, but I think I did a decent job of making it look natural! The problem was that it rained so much and I had to put plastic sheeting over the entire doorway to keep moisture out. I’m so glad that’s done now.

It's not rot. It's more that I need to pressure wash my siding to get the mold off of it and tidy up my porch where weeds have snuck in.

Yeah, I have my own pressure washer and a cleaning mix attachment that I use to clean it.
Might do it this weekend if the weather holds up.

Hi Shawn!! What’s on the agenda for this week online or off?
We had some vicious storms come through the area last night, but my specific area was somewhat shielded, and for that I’m thankful. We did lose power because the wind blew some trees down (over wires) and even though we have a wholehouse generator, we don’t have air conditioning hooked up to it. The reason for that is because we would have needed a more expensive generator. So it was just a little uncomfortable to try to sleep. But all is well now and I’m looking online at the north and east of us, which is truly sad. I think people might still be without power too.
Thunderstorms with heavy winds can be no joke. This has been a rough year in general for storms, it seems.

It was a good walk. It got a little too muggy toward the end, but the water was still nice and cool in the vehicle when we got back. It was a short walk instead of our longer hikes that we do but that’s because it looked like rain.
Glad you had a good walk @Kathy, thought about going for one today but the rain has made the decision for me.
