It's tough because having no money only gets you so far in life. I'm having to cut back on sugar at the moment because I apparently have gum disease that needs a deep cleaning to (hopefully) fix, and I find myself spending $8.00+ a day on a smoothie to have a little taste aside from water. It might not sound like much daily, but it adds up over time, and with all the bills I keep accruing, I'm probably even going to have to cut back on the smoothies soon.
It's even tougher, most likely, but we have to be more grateful and appreciative of what we currently have in life. Sometimes we're greedy beings who are never satisfied with what we have and want more of what we don't. I think building gratefulness can help alleviate some of that greed.
Of course, money is essential to life, and we can't get very far without it. I've had to discipline myself to eat at home more often due to lack of funds; I used to eat out every day when I got more hours and higher pay.
Hopefully, when they build this new business in town that I plan on applying to, I can build my finances and not worry about them as much if I'm hired.
For sweet food: making your own smoothies at home will go a long way. I use a variety of fruit (sometimes frozen because it's cheaper here), skyr (scandinavian yoghurt), chia seeds for fibre to help with satiety, and juice with no added sugars (though you could use something else like water or milk etc). That should help you save on money. You can also freeze them for later, if you make in bulk.
Also, making your own drinkable yoghurt is pretty baller, too. I'll buy a big tub of vanilla skyr, add chia seeds, and some crushed up frozen fruit, and mix it all together. It'll be v thick, so I'll add a little bit of milk so the chia seeds can absorb some moisture. Then I'll let that sit for at least a few hours to overnight before I have my first serving. (Oh, and I also add in a little bit of honey (less than two table spoons), but tbh, you can skip that.) After that, I'll take 1/4th cup or 1/3 cup depending on my mood and slap it in a mug or something for a single serving, Then, I'll add more milk and mix it until it's the consistency I want. If you opt for a drinkable consistency, it's like a smoothie, but it's cheaper and goes longer I think. It takes me about a week to go through it. Tbh, even without making it drinkable, it's pretty good as is.
If you can have artificial sweeteners, getting "zero" soda could help. It's labelled as 0 calories, 0 sugars, and doesn't taste bad. I've been drinking zero Barq's root beer to help curb my sweet tooth while I try to lose weight. So far, I've lost 14 pounds, so it helps.

I think that we need money to enjoy life. We may need money to buy things. Some studies have suggested that money can have a huge impact on relationships as well. So, how to enjoy life when you do not have money?
For not food related: I hang out with my folks. They're free entertainment. Just sit on the deck, slingshot some jokes each others' way, and enjoy the simple life.
