What are your fears about migrating to a new platform?

Every time I have done it in the past, some sort of major error has occurred.

Or the forum becomes not as popular as it was on the first platform.

I try to stick with what I launch it on.

I’ve always self-hosted all the forums I’ve ran in the past, so the concerns when converting, are that something will break or that you will data in the process. Ive had many issues over the years. When i get my new board up and running on ForumSpark, thankfully some of the past headaches shouldn’t be an issue, as long as FS is around, which i hope is for a very long time.

Discourse was my first platform, but I hate to pay, so I decided to come here, but something is clear. This place doesn't look like Discourse, and my job is to make the theme look like Discourse; it might work, but I'm afraid it won't be the same.

I’m not really familiar with Discourse. What is it about FS that you can’t get it to look similar?

Discourse has another look, that’s what i meant, and they have badges, trust levels pretty much everything, and they have a id that it saves all info on your account if you want to migrate forums, or easy log in.
