Custom shop items show in profile and posts with icons

Is there a way to have custom shop items show in posts and profiles with an icon? Say people want cute badges on their posts?

I used CSS to make a badge show in username using a secondary user group but I don't know if you can make multiple show up or in posts. This would be cool to be built in.

The best way would be by using CSS at the moment.
