What's the cost of petrol like where you are? Here's it's getting very close to $3.50 NZD per litre.

Where I am in Illinois, it’s around $4.80 a gallon which is about $18.16/liter in USD which would be around 32.06 NZD if I have my conversion right?

However, I live in the very edge of Southern Illinois. So, Kentucky is about 10 minutes from me. I hope across the Ohio and usually get gas $1 less than Illinois.

We go out of state because my state tacks on too much tax, and the state we go to has it for around $4.30 USD.

A little over $6 a gallon. Most expensive state, yay!!

We pay €2.25 to €2.8 per liter gas. Which is 9USD-12USD per gallon. Now, don’t dare complaining to me! 😂

Yeah, but how far do you really have to travel? LOL I live 45 minutes to most of the big stores to go shopping 😉

Like Kathy, I live in the country but not 45 minutes away from everything.

However, all the hiking I do is usually a 150-mile drive day. However, I write the gas mileage off as a work expense. I saved a lot in taxes last year because of it.

Thank the gods, no. It’s 60liters. 😂 Then again, it only lasts me like 500km. 🙊

Mine lasts a long time filled up. I never fill it all the way though. I know I pay the same amount throughout the month but psychologically it makes me feel better when I only do a half tank. 😄

In a way I get that. We keep it full, but fill up when it reaches half. The reason for that is that when we moved where we live now, we didn’t know where the gas stations were, or how long it would take to get to any! Also, when we travel 12 hours to visit family, we had an experience where one of the toll road service plazas was closed, so if we hadn’t filled up, we would have gone on empty until the next one. You can get off the toll road, but it’s such a pain to do and takes a long time to get off, find the gas station, and get back on. Filling it up when it gets to half works best for us.

On a Thursday one of our local petrol stations sells petrol a bit cheaper and my mother went there today and there was a bit of a wait. Everyone filling up to avoid the stupid charges elsewhere.
