When you think of promotion for your forum, what comes to mind?
Forum promotion is really a hard one.
Most means of distribution don’t work for forums.
It’s hard to convert social media users to forum members because those users are already able to post on social media and it almost seems redundant to join something else to do the same thing.
SEO is really challenging for forums. Most of the content on a forum is User Generated Content and most users don’t have SEO in mind when creating posts.
Promoting your forum on Reddit, Quora, and places like that seems like spam.
Promotion forums, directories, and word-of-mouth are really your only best free options. Paid acquisition is likely your best paid method - like Meta or Google ads.
I’ve always mainly depended on forum promotion and signature advertising. Word of mouth is a godsend.
