My high school team was sometimes good, but usually not. I think the talented players were stolen by neighboring areas.
But this was the early 1990s when I went there. I don’t know the situation later.
Mine wasn’t good when we didn’t play rivals we were ok but out main rival beat us like 66-7 for example each year here in Utah 9th grade is with jr high or middle school but 10-12 were in high school all 9-12 were high school im in Utah my school has a letter on for my school which was Cyprus high hunter high who madly beat us

Our rival team in the county was usually better. But we had beat them before.
Note: I never played, my sport was tae-keon-do
