As some of you may have heard, the PHP team recently announced two critical security vulnerabilities affecting several PHP versions.

You can read more about them on the official PHP website.

We would like to let you know that we've taken the necessary steps to address these vulnerabilities and have applied the relevant security updates to our infrastructure.

Keeping AdminBanner secure is something we take seriously, and we continue to monitor security announcements to make sure we're up to date with the latest fixes.

There is no action required from our users or connected communities.
It is however recommended you apply the necessary patches to your servers.

Some of you got emails saying your tag had been removed or your creatives were blocked, and a few of you had your banners paused, even though the tag was right there on your site. Sorry about that. It was a bug in our health check, not anything you did.

The check only counted your site as active when a visitor actually looked at a banner for a second or so. Sites with lower traffic, or with the tag low on the page, could go days without that happening and got flagged even though everything worked.

• Your site now counts as active as long as your tag loads. Whether visitors scroll to the banner no longer matters.

• If your banners were paused by mistake, they resume on their own the next time someone visits your site. You don't need to do anything.

• Ad blockers on some visitors' browsers no longer flag your whole site.

• Banners are only paused if the tag hasn't loaded on your site at all for a week.

• Credit balances can no longer go below zero.

As a thank-you for your patience, every verified site has been given 1,000 credits on top of its current balance. It's already in your account.

Your banners keep running wherever your tag sits. You earn a credit each time a visitor actually sees a banner on your site, though, so placing the tag where people look (near the top, or beside your content rather than in the footer) earns you more credits.

Greetings everyone! Welcome back to AdminBanner. We’ve been online for more than a year, which feels like a pretty good moment to look back, refresh a few things, and start thinking about what comes next.

A fresh look

If you visit the homepage today, you’ll notice it looks completely different.

We’ve rebuilt and redesigned the site from the ground up, with a much clearer focus on what AdminBanner is and what we want it to be. For the new design, we went back to where the original idea came from: the older web, when banner exchanges, webmaster communities and independently run websites were everywhere.

So instead of chasing another clean, flat, modern design, we leaned into that nostalgia a little.

The result is a homepage that feels much more like AdminBanner.

But this update is more than a new coat of paint. The site has been reorganized, cleaned up and made considerably easier to understand, especially for anyone discovering the network for the first time.

Registrations are open again

And with that, we’re opening registrations for new websites again.

If you’ve been thinking about joining AdminBanner, adding another site to the network, or simply giving it another try, now is a good time to jump in.

A new home for the community

Going forward, we’ll also have a brand new AdminBanner forum powered by ForumSpark. We’ve matched the forum theme closely with the main website so it feels like part of the same place rather than something separate.

We’ll use the forum to announce updates, gather feedback and ideas from the community, and give everyone a small place to talk about the websites being showcased across the network.

There’ll also be room for banner design discussion and feedback if you need a second opinion on something you’re working on, along with some light webmaster and off-topic chat.

It’s not intended to become some huge community project. There are other sites more suited for that. It’s simply a place for the people using AdminBanner to interact a little more, share what they’re building, and help us improve the service along the way.

New features came along

There’s a few new features and changes. First off all, running multiple sites now get their own dedicated page. It was unclear in the past, but this has been revised completely. The Discover page shows an Invite as partner button. More about this coming soon. My Network (in Dashboard) shows Where your banner appeared and a dedicated widget for referrals. Earn credits by referring members to AdminBanner. You’ll also notice we have a new banner maker - Easy to use, free of charge and ideal if you don’t have any design skills yourself.

The next chapter

More than anything, this redesign is our way of saying that AdminBanner isn’t going anywhere.

We’re still here, a little older, a little more polished, and ready for the next chapter.
