Empirekicking

Back when I was a kid, it was either vinyl records, cassette tapes, or CD's that we would listen to music from, and then we saw MP3's, and now we have streaming, which is one of the most popular ways to listen to music.

I listen to music daily, and because of that, I prefer to listen to my music through Spotify, and I purchase Spotify Premium each month.

How do you listen to your music?

Music is something I can not go a day without. I always listen to music daily, whether it be when I am busy around the house, when I am sitting working, or even just because I can listen to music.

I don't think I could go a day without listening to music, as it helps to motivate me and lift my mood as well.

Do you enjoy listening to music?

I have been playing Monopoly Go since I believe November 2024, and I still play the game daily, even now and absolutely love the events and the collecting and trading of stickers in the game.

Do you play Monopoly Go? How long have you been playing for? What is your favourite part of the Monopoly Go game?

Something I know I do before I purchase any game or even download a game, if it is a free-to-play game or even a game available on a service such as Game Pass, is I will check the reviews to see if it would be worth checking out.

Do you check reviews before you purchase or even play a game?

What are you going to do tomorrow?

It's supposed to rain where I live, so I'll just clean my house until the rain stops so I can go hiking.

How often do you order online, whether it's food to be delivered, clothes, whatever?

Everyone has that one movie they can watch over and over again without getting bored. It could be because of the story, the nostalgia, or just how entertaining it is. What movie have you rewatched the most and what makes it so good?

Sometimes a movie scene becomes memorable mainly because of the music playing in the background. A powerful soundtrack can completely change the mood of a film. Do you think music makes a big difference in movies?

What do you like to watch more TV shows or movie? Do you find movies more entertaining or TV show?

Well, I like to watch movies as well as TV shows, however, given a choice, I will prefer TV shows. That's because they they have well developed stories, proper characterizations and offer you entertainment for a long time.

Lately I’ve been thinking about how there’s always that one game you never really stop playing. You might move on to new releases or try something different for a while, but somehow you always end up going back to it. For me, it’s usually the game I can just load up without thinking too much and enjoy straight away, whether that’s for relaxing or just passing some time. It doesn’t even have to be the newest or best game out there, it just has that feeling that keeps pulling you back. I’m wondering what game everyone else keeps returning to and what makes it so hard to finally move on from it.

These days handheld consoles are becoming very popular, thanks to the popularity of mobile gaming. I haven't used handheld console and I might never use them because I don't do mobile gaming much and I mainly play on PC. Do you use handheld console, what do you use? Do you like playing on handheld consoles. Do you think handheld consoles will replace mobile gaming?

Many years ago, I used to play MInecraft Pocket edition and it was my favorite mobile game. These days I play Minecraft on PC. I don't play a lot of games on mobile, I play occasionally, especially when I am outdoors and I need to kill time. I usually play Asphalt 9 Legends and Genshin Impact.

I have watched a few shows that were adapted from games. I have watched The Witcher, Last of Us, Fallout, etc. Based on my personal experience, I think the best TV show adapted form a game is Last of Us.

What is your favorite TV show based on a video game?

I have worked as a game reviewer on a few websites, I have also created a lot of game content (mostly blog post and forum posts). I enjoy writing about games and gaming experiences. Do you do game reviews, have you written game content? Where do you publish your game content?

Do you like to play Real Time Strategy Games? If you enjoy playing RTS, why do you like them, what makes RTS games your favorite? What are your favorite RTS games?

Well, I like playing RTS games. When I was searching for a game that has historical elements, I discovered Age of Empires, and when I started playing it, I quite enjoyed. Age of Empire is one of my favorite game franchises.

Even though I also use Playstation and as well as mobiles, I am mainly a PC gamer. I like to play games on PC as long as the games are available on PC. I have a gaming laptop as well as gaming a desktop PC. I sometimes use controllers but I like to use keyboard and mouse while playing on PC. One main reasons why I like PC gaming is because you can build a custom PC.

I play Minecraft, I started playing in 2015 and I still find the game very interesting. It is an interesting story how I ended up playing Mionecraft. I was invited to post on a Minecraft community but I prior to that I didn't know about Minecraft. In order to post about Minecraft, I had to learn the game. Now I am hooked.

Do you play Minecraft, how did you end up playing it.

🛫 About Tonight’s Flight
The national capital is home to the Commanders, but this is a recent name. The team was founded in 1932 as the Boston Braves, changing its name to the Redskins the following year before moving to Washington, D.C., in 1937. The Redskins branding was seen as pejorative by many for decades. In 2020, pressure led to the name being retired before rebranding as the Commanders in 2022

🛫 About Tonight’s Flight
For this week’s American Monday Flight, we’re heading out of Detroit Metropolitan Airport bound first for Philadelphia, one of the most historic cities in the United States and home to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall.

After a quick turnaround, we’ll continue on to New York LaGuardia, one of the busiest and most iconic airports serving New York City, flying right past the Manhattan skyline on arrival.

Short hops, busy airspace, and plenty of traffic expected — perfect conditions for some great flying on the network.

How did you first get into gaming?

For me it started years ago just playing casually on PC, and over time it slowly turned into a bigger hobby. These days I spend a lot of time with flight simulators and other PC games, and it’s something I really enjoy doing.

It’s interesting how everyone starts differently though. Some people started with consoles growing up, others started on PC, and some only got into gaming later on.

Would be interesting to hear what everyone’s first gaming experience was.

What was the first game or system you remember playing?

Looking forward to hearing everyone’s stories!

Thought it might be interesting to see what kind of setups people here are running for gaming or flight simulation.

Everyone’s setup is different, some people run full cockpit builds while others have a simple desk setup with a joystick or controller.

My own setup is fairly simple but it gets the job done. I’m always looking for ideas though on how people organise their desks, monitors, and hardware.

Things like:
What PC specs you’re running
What monitors you use
Any flight controls or special hardware
How you’ve arranged your desk

Feel free to post a photo if you want as well. Always nice seeing how people build their setups.

Might even give some of us ideas for future upgrades!

Just curious what people here prefer when flying in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Do you enjoy short hops between smaller airports, or do you prefer long haul flights across continents?

Personally, I enjoy a mix of both. Short flights can be fun because you're constantly busy with takeoff, approach, and landing, especially flying things like the ATR or regional jets. But at the same time, long haul flights in something like a 737, A320, or even cargo aircraft can be really relaxing once you get up to cruise.

Sometimes I’ll even do a multi-leg flight day, where I do several routes back to back.

Interested to hear what everyone else prefers and why.

Do you like:
• Quick regional flights
• Medium routes (1–3 hours)
• Proper long haul flights

Let’s hear what you enjoy flying the most!

Hey everyone,

Just thought I’d start a discussion about Microsoft Flight Simulator add-ons.

There are so many out there now, aircraft, airports, scenery, utilities, weather tools, and more. Some are great and some are… not so great

So I’m curious what people here think are the must-have add-ons right now.

For me personally a few that really stand out are:
PMDG 737 series
Fenix A320
Some of the Inibuilds airports
GSX for ground handling
Navigraph for charts and planning

I’m always looking for new things to try though, especially good airports or aircraft that really add to the immersion.

What add-ons would you recommend to someone who wants to improve their MSFS experience?

Would be great to hear what everyone is using!
