Is Postloop returning?
Hello everyone,

First of all, a bit about me. My name is Cedric. I've been managing communities for over two decades. My current community is called Administrata. I have always been in the admin forum niche. Helping out communities is what I like. I'm not the original owner of Postloop, but I’m bringing back a post exchange service — and yes, the name Postloop might just return with it.

I’m not doing this for a quick buck. I’ve always been passionate about helping online communities grow and thrive - that’s why I run Administrata and why I want to rebuild something like Postloop. If there's a way to make this work sustainably for both writers and site owners, I’m willing to put in the time.

So is Postloop returning? There isn't exactly a short answer yet.

Postloop was once the go-to marketplace for forums, blogs, and content creators to connect with active, quality contributors. Members earned rewards for participating in discussions, posting on blogs, and helping build thriving online communities. It was definitely a better online world then. We also remember TheForumWheel. A very similar service that bite the dust unfortunately.

We do feel there is still a need for a platform like Postloop. Maybe not exactly as it was 10 years ago, but the demand is still there. We're willing to give it another go. The new Postloop is currently under development, reimagined for a modern era of content platforms. Now, we need to be honest. A platform like Postloop is a huge undertaking development-wise. This is going to take a few weeks to even months to go from a concept to something you can use. And even after launch, the work doesn’t stop. We'll be continuously evolving to keep things running smoothly and adapt to your needs.

We’re exploring some fresh ideas. Things like a tiered writer system paired with reviews and ratings, a clean dashboard, easier payouts, and stronger quality control. The new Postloop won’t just be a revival. It would be a reinvention, shaped by what worked and what didn’t.

At the moment there is no 100% guarantee this will return. But we're looking into possibilities as we speak and if there is any progress, then we'll notify you through the Announcements forum.

This forum serves as a gateway for your thoughts and feedback on the Postloop revival. Were you disappointed when the original Postloop went offline? What do you wish had been improved? Help us shape the next version into something even better.

If you're curious to follow this project, feel free to register, join the discussion, and subscribe to the Announcements section. Even just dropping a quick hello helps us know the interest is there. :)

Much thanks,
Cedric

Why is it so hard to get new topics?

Why is it so hard to get new topics? On my Spark Promotion listing I've put this:

* Topics are appreciated — We encourage you to start new discussions, ask interesting questions, share ideas, and give members something new to talk about. Don't feel like you have to only reply to existing topics.

Writers approaching the requesters directly

Just as in the good old postloop writers should be able to write for requesters directly The format could therefore be such that anyone can write and it is left to the requester to accept or reject the work

Hey

So I'm happy with Postloop so far. I've had a total of 50 written posts and comments on my 3 sites. I'm really enjoying Postloop. I'm glad it's back in some form. We just need more writers now 🙂

Were you a buyer or content creator?
On the original Post loop were you a buyer (paid for posts) or content creator?

I don't think I really posted on any other forums as I mostly used it to pay for posts.

How does Postloop review Writers?

How does Postloop review Writers?

At Postloop, we take our writer evaluations seriously. We want to make sure every writer is a great fit for the program, and we do that by carefully reviewing your work during your 50-post trial.

Our forum layout will be expanded as Postloop launches. This will give you the opportunity to showcase how you write. We don’t just look at one thing — we look at a few different aspects to get a full picture of your writing skills:

 • Tone & Adaptability: Can you switch up your style based on the topic/niche? We want to see if you can adapt to different discussions.

 • Engagement & Contribution: Are you joining the conversation in a meaningful way, or just dropping a reply and moving on? We’re looking for writers who add value to discussions.

 • Grammar & Quality: Is your writing clear, easy to understand, and free from mistakes? We expect high-quality writing.

 • Creativity & Insight: Can you bring fresh ideas to the table, or do you just follow the crowd? We like writers who think outside the box.

 • [*]Consistency & Dedication: Are you sticking to your posts regularly and showing us you're here to put in the effort?

We score each of these areas from 1 to 10, and at the end of your trial, your overall score will decide which tier you’re placed in. This helps us make sure we’re paying you fairly based on how well you’re doing. We will of course be of best assistance to you in helping you grow. Constructive feedback will be a big part of Postloop.

We really take our time reviewing each writer, so you can trust that we’re being thorough and fair. We want to make sure you’re the right fit for Postloop and giving you the chance to grow as a writer.

Thanks for being a part of Postloop! We can’t wait to see how you grow with us.

Postloop Rewards

I suggest a simple reward of a cent for a thread and a cent for reply will be very encouraging to all the writers sharing their knowledge here.

What was your favorite feature?
Postloop was pretty well built out and packed with features. A daily post limit, writers rating, a decent entry review, a fast payout, etc.

From all things you remember, what was your most favorite feature?

Connect Emotionally as Well as Factually
It can be hard to understand the emotional output of a statement. (<--very dry is that not?)

Rather it can be hard to know what people are feeling when they write their responses or posts. Language choices are such an important item in our toolbox. I prefer to write informally in most instances. The first sentence in this post is 'correct' but it does not resonate with most readers. It lacks feeling and depth of emotion. It does not have that one on one warm connection.

So while we all love to talk about our favorite topics, I try to make sure my word choices are appropriate for a total newbie to the topic as well as someone who is well versed in it.

What I Look For as A Content Writer
I love contributing meaningful content to really any social platform! A lot has to do with the fact that I love learning from others. I love sharing my knowledge and seeing how it stacks up against a different perspective.

I was not part of the old Postloop (dang it!) and I am excited for what the future holds for this one.

As a content creator, I am always looking for diversity and exchange. A diverse audience, a diverse topic, etc really lends itself to discussions that are more robust. You can tell a huge difference when someone is posting just enough to stay active and when they are really present for the group.

Exchange is simply the exchange of ideas. Participation is key. When I see people reading, reacting and replying...I am absolutely ready to get back into the topic and keep it rolling forward.

Here is to the future!

Looking at what people have said in the past about PL
Out of curiosity, I looked up what other people said in the past about Postloop on the net, mostly from writers.

For the most part, they were happy to get paid for their posts. Some of the complaining was that it wasn't very much pay, but I think that's because they're looking at it as a job instead of helping to form and grow communities while getting some money in return.

Now as for their ratings, there were inconsistencies in how writers were rated. They felt that it was too strict, but as a forum Admin, I wouldn't want garbage on a forum, or even half garbage and know that people were getting paid for it. A big concern was a mid-range rating with a good comment, but no true explanation or example of what would have made it a higher rating.

Not having sites rate the posts was another thing that was brought up in my searches.

Quite a few people had gotten banned with no explanation as to why. My guess is they had more than one account...OR their IP they used was also one used by other writers and there was no way to verify that they were different people. A verification system using ID could be helpful, but people can also be deceptive with that system too.

Copied material was how some people got caught with their attempts to be a writer and were ultimately banned. I agree that copied material shouldn't be allowed and with more people using AI to write, this will be a huge frustration for forum owners/admins who want original/unique thoughts/ideas.

Back to writer ratings... the ability for one site's low rating to bring down a writer's good rating score was detrimental to the hard work the writer had put in. Something to consider.

Other writers complained about the tracking system and I think they would be happy with how more things could be automated today.

I saw on a review this and I'm wondering if it was a poor choice to have this incentive "forever" since once things trickled down from referrer to referrer, too much money can be lost. "When you refer a friend to Postloop, you will receive a 20% bonus for all of the points that your referrals earn through posting or purchasing, forever!"

I'll end with this quote from the Xenforo forum:

The reason why is quite clear: the heart and soul of any forum is the content it contains, and more importantly, the personalities behind said content. With the exception of some solid writers (most of whom are long gone) PostLoop serves up the kind of people you don't want on a forum:

 • Writers with little or no knowledge of your forum subject matter, who often post stupid or obvious content. Most won't read any introductory material or the forum rules.
 • Young people with no life experience and limited education.
 • The unemployable, burn-outs, and washed up hacks that are trying to earn less than a dollar an hour on that site.
 • Individuals with very limited English ability. Some are also outright hostile to western nations and will voice that sentiment.
 • Conspiracy kooks, political cranks, and other mentally strange people. (One of the most active members there is a trailer-dwelling conspiracy theorist, for example.)
 • Outright toxic individuals who troll forums for fun and profit.
 • And the inevitable genius that publicly mentions they are posting for money.
 • [*]... and so much more.

Even the better posters rarely complete their profiles, will post in an unnatural fashion, and don't genuinely care about the community. In fairness, there is the occasional high quality writer, but they are few and are between, and they burn out fast. The simple economics is that someone willing to only earn 5-8¢ per post isn't going to write the finest material.

Verified Writers, Trusted Work

Postloop takes writer verification seriously — and that’s a good thing for everyone involved.
To keep things fair, transparent, and secure, all approved writers are required to verify their identity. This helps us prevent duplicate accounts, reduce fraud, and stay in line with financial guidelines and record-keeping requirements.

Why It Matters:
1. It builds trust between Postloop, Site Owners and Writers.
Site owners and clients know they’re working with real, reliable writers — not bots, duplicate or throwaway accounts.

2. It keeps payments on track.
Verified writers help us process payouts faster and stay compliant with financial standards. No hiccups, no hold-ups.

3. It keeps the community accountable.
Everyone on Postloop is here to do good work — and verification helps ensure everyone plays fair and follows the same rules.

What does Postloop require?

Once you have been approved after your trial posts, you’ll need to provide basic ID — like a driver’s license or another form of legal documentation. We’ve done this before with writers, and most people understand it’s just part of doing things right.
Your info stays safe and private. We never share it, and it’s only used to confirm you’re who you say you are.

Bottom line?
If you’re here to write and earn honestly, you’ll have no problem. Verification just helps us keep Postloop a fair and trusted space for everyone.

PostLoop is not a pay-to-post system

There is a common misconception that PostLoop is a "pay-to-post" forum platform, but here at PostLoop, that is not what we are about at all.

PostLoop is designed as a content marketplace that connects community managers with real users who can contribute high-quality and meaningful posts. Instead of flooding forums with spammy or low-effort replies, our system focuses on thoughtful engagement that actually helps conversations grow.

At PostLoop, we believe forums still have a strong potential in the internet world, and we know and understand that online communities thrive when discussions are helpful, authentic, and active, but sometimes forums do need a boost to get up there. That boost starts with content.

By allowing community managers to invest in quality contributions, PostLoop helps spark discussions, improve retention, and create a more vibrant atmosphere for both new and existing members of your community.

It is not about paying for noise, but instead, it is about investing in engagement that feels valuable and natural.

If you are building a forum, you already know that content is the foundation. PostLoop simply helps you strengthen that foundation in a smart, scalable way.

Ideal PostLoop Tiers you would be looking for that would be affordable for you?

We are currently looking into the tiers we will be offering as part of the PostLoop service that we will be launching as soon as we are ready, but we would like some feedback from those who are interested in using the service as to what kind of tiers they would be looking for and what would be affordable for them.

We are looking at offering not only one-off tiers but also monthly tiers as well, so there is a variety of options for all.

We look forward to hearing your feedback and views :)
