Welcome to Plug Your Board, the place to showcase your ForumSpark communities! Before diving in, check out these guidelines to ensure your advertisement gets the spotlight it deserves:

1. ForumSpark only
This section is exclusively for advertising your ForumSpark-powered communities. If your board isn’t on ForumSpark, this isn’t the spot for it.

2. Keep it Professional
Present your community with pride! Share key details like your board’s focus, unique features, and why people should join. Avoid inappropriate or offensive content.

4. Include Important Details
Provide information that helps others understand your community:

Board Name: What’s it called?
Link: Make it easy for people to find you.
Focus: What’s your community about?
Highlights: What makes it unique or exciting?

5. Be Honest
Accurately represent your board. Misleading claims might bring visitors, but they won’t stick around if expectations aren’t met.

6. Avoid Spam
One ad per community, please. If you make updates or improvements, feel free to reply to your thread with news or changes. But to keep it fair for everyone, bumping is allowed once per week.

7. Support Others
Check out other posts and support your fellow ForumSpark members. A thriving ecosystem benefits everyone!

8. Follow General Forum Rules
Respect ForumSpark’s overall rules and policies. Treat others with kindness and professionalism.

I have been around a lot of forums for a very long time, it's great seeing so many familiar names already. Thought I would finally post and say Hello to All.

Not much else to say, other than to wish both Cedric and Jamie luck in this exciting new project 8)

I went to change the color of a user group under the groups link and when I add CSS to change or just a straight hex color it doesn't work. Any help in the right direction would be great.

I'd like to see something for the Admin CP where you can upload the database of one's existing forum to it and also export it, something that Jcink has.

Would be handy for those wanting to move to this forum software instead of having to close one and start a brand new one again.

Hey! Im lumari , and I'm new to FS. Im trying to make sections and it wont pop-up .

I am not sure but I was looking for somewhere to post for theme support, I.E a place to ask for specific help on certain things. Whether it be themes, edits or basic admin/user questions.

I originally used email validation to activate my account on my iPhone and it did not validate my account. So, I went to my email on my Google Chromebook and clicked the activation link after I re-sent the validation email, and it worked. With that being said, either it was a temporary glitch or you can only validate the email on the device you register on.

I originally used the Gmail app on my iPhone 11.

On my test forum I'm having issues with the logo.

I'm putting the link into the board logo part of the theme but the logo isn't changing.

Don't worry la la land again. I went to the main forum and it shows it. It doesn't change in the admin.

How does the domain manager work as I don't see any options on that page?

For anyone wondering, it will soon be possible to allocate custom domains to Forum Spark.

We do currently have that available as a feature but it is currently turned off as I need to perform a small amount of infrastructure work. This will be available in the coming weeks.

I am noticing after creating a forum and also registering here on the support forum that I don't seem to receive verification emails until I click the "Resend Verification Email" link.

I was wondering if I could pick someone's brain and help me center the logo. I thought it was in .page-header then I tried the .page-header_logo and still can't figure it out.

Hey I'm Ravenfreak a 34 year old guy who loves forums! As someone who loved Zetaboards when it was still online I had to join ForumSpark since it is heavily inspired by the platform! Shawn here. Been running forums for a long time. I have a few of them, all of which are self-hosted. But I really like the idea of this site, so I made a forum with it and will play around with it.

A bit about me: a 40-year-old married guy from Illinois (USA). I work in investigations. I'm an avid outdoorsman, and I love forums and blogging.

Users should have the ability to request account deletion.

Users should have the ability to download all data that relates to them, this should include:

• User record (username, name, email etc)
• Topics
• Posts
• Shouts
• Historical name change requests
• Any data current session related data (ip and user agent)
• Topic read history
• Toll voting history

From a UX perspective, I'd also put a 'Register your board for free' button somewhere above the fold (in the top-right corner, for example). It doesn't really make sense to only have it at the bottom of the page, since it is supposed to be your main CTA.

Thanks @Hulk for mentioning this in the service discussion forum.

Right now you get notifications of tags, reactions and replies to threads you create. These are just in-app notifications though which are great for live sessions but not ideal for users who have gone offline.

We would like to extend the notifications to include optional Emails and Push Notifications (PWA).

In addition to this we would also like to include a broader range of notifications including the ability to watch and be updated about topics of interest.

These will eventually all be optional.

When a user mistypes a username while tagging someone in the shoutbox (e.g., tagging "AllenD" instead of "AllanD"), the tag generates a clickable link, but it redirects to a 404 error page.

Steps to Reproduce:
See shoutbox.
Attempt to tag a user using an incorrect username (e.g., @AllenD instead of @AllanD).
Observe that the tag creates a clickable link.
Click the link, and note that it redirects to a 404 error page.

Expected Behavior:
If the username does not exist, the tag should not create a link.
Alternatively, the system could validate the username and notify the user if it’s invalid.

Additional Notes:
It’s unclear if tagging in the shoutbox triggers a notification for the user being tagged.
Validation of tags before link creation could help address this issue.

It seems this is not limited to the shoutbox, but rather the whole software.

Not sure if there is an option but I don't see one on email to subscribe to my own thread to get email updates.

Once you've added a theme to your board, it cannot be deleted. You can only enable or disable a theme. Also, perhaps the 'Delete Theme' link should be a little further away from the other theme options.
