The Smark Report

When All Elite Wrestling launched in 2019, it arrived with a clear mission: offer wrestling fans something different. AEW promised an alternative to the established wrestling landscape, with a strong focus on in-ring action, fresh faces, exciting match-ups and giving wrestlers opportunities to become major stars.

Over the years, AEW has grown considerably. It has brought in established names, expanded its roster, added more championships and developed into a major wrestling promotion.

But has that growth come at a cost?

Some fans believe AEW has moved away from what made it special in the beginning. Others argue that change and expansion are necessary for any promotion that wants to grow and compete at the highest level.

💬 Let's Debate!

• Do you think AEW has lost some of the identity it had when it first launched?

• Was the original AEW product more exciting than what we see today?

• Has the company become too similar to the wrestling promotions it originally wanted to challenge?

• Has bringing in established stars helped or hurt AEW?

• What made early AEW special, and does the company still have those qualities?

• What is the one thing you would change to improve AEW?

Over to you! Has AEW lost its original identity, or has it simply evolved into a bigger and more established wrestling promotion?

Factions have always played an important role in professional wrestling. Whether it's groups dominating the roster, alliances creating chaos or teammates eventually turning against each other, factions can bring a completely different dynamic to WWE.

They can create multiple rivalries at once, build new stars and produce some memorable moments.

But do faction storylines actually make WWE more entertaining than traditional one-on-one rivalries?

A great singles feud can be personal, intense and emotionally gripping. Meanwhile, a strong faction storyline can involve betrayals, power struggles, loyalty and plenty of unpredictable developments.

Both have their advantages, but which one delivers the better wrestling television?

💬 Let's Debate!

• Do you prefer faction storylines or traditional singles rivalries?

• Do factions help elevate lesser-known superstars?

• Can a faction become too powerful or overstay its welcome?

• Are betrayals and internal conflicts the best part of faction storylines?

• What is the greatest faction in WWE history?

• What is your favourite WWE singles rivalry of all time?

• Should WWE create more factions, or focus more on individual superstars?

Over to you! Are factions the secret ingredient to great wrestling storytelling, or will nothing ever beat a brilliant one-on-one rivalry?

When WWE introduced the brand split, it gave Raw and SmackDown their own identities, rosters, championships and rivalries. It also created opportunities for more superstars to become important players rather than getting lost in an overcrowded roster.

However, WWE has regularly allowed superstars to appear across both brands, creating crossover matches, shared storylines and opportunities for unexpected interactions.

But has this taken away some of what made the brand split special?

Would WWE benefit from bringing back stricter rules, keeping Raw and SmackDown completely separate, or is having superstars cross between brands better for the product?

💬 Let's Debate!

• Should Raw and SmackDown have completely separate rosters?

• Should superstars only appear on their assigned brand unless officially traded?

• Should each brand have its own exclusive championships?

• Does the current crossover make WWE more entertaining?

• Would a stricter brand split create more opportunities for the roster?

• Which brand would have the stronger roster if the split was fully enforced?

Over to you! Should WWE bring back the brand split rules in full, or is the freedom to cross between brands better for business?

One of the biggest parts of professional wrestling is keeping fans entertained, invested and guessing what might happen next. A great storyline should have twists, unexpected turns, shocking moments and payoffs that leave fans talking.

But has WWE become too predictable?

Sometimes it feels like fans can see a heel turn coming weeks in advance, guess the outcome of a championship match before the bell even rings, or work out exactly where a storyline is heading.

On the other hand, predictable doesn't always mean bad. Sometimes a well-told story needs an obvious direction, and the journey is more important than the surprise.

💬 Let's Debate!

• Do you think WWE's storylines have become too predictable?

• Are fans too quick to work out upcoming twists and turns?

• Does WWE rely too heavily on surprise returns and shocking moments?

• Are long-term storylines still delivering satisfying payoffs?

• Can a predictable storyline still be great if the execution is right?

• What is one WWE storyline that genuinely surprised you?

Over to you! Does WWE need to become more unpredictable, or is good storytelling more important than shocking the audience?

Back in 2010, TNA Wrestling made two major appointments when Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff arrived with the promise of taking the company to the next level.

There were big ambitions, major signings, changes to the product and a clear desire to compete with WWE.

But looking back, did their time in charge help TNA grow, or did it take the company in the wrong direction?

The move to Monday nights, the focus on established names, changes to the presentation and the handling of homegrown talent remain topics that wrestling fans still debate today.

Some believe Hogan and Bischoff brought valuable experience, star power and attention to TNA. Others argue that their decisions damaged what made the company different in the first place.

💬 Let's open the debate!

• Did Hogan and Bischoff help or hurt TNA?

• Was moving Impact Wrestling to Monday nights a mistake?

• Did TNA rely too heavily on former WWE and WCW stars?

• Were homegrown talents pushed aside?

• Did the company lose its identity during this period?

• Could TNA have become a much bigger competitor without their involvement?

• What was the biggest mistake made during their time in charge?

And perhaps the biggest question of all...

Did Hogan and Bischoff nearly kill TNA, or do they get more criticism than they deserve?

For years, WWE NXT was seen as the developmental brand – a place where up-and-coming wrestlers could learn their craft, gain experience and prepare themselves for the main roster.

But has that perception changed?

NXT has developed its own identity, produced some fantastic matches, created major stars and built a passionate fanbase. Plenty of its performers are already delivering performances that wouldn't look out of place on Raw or SmackDown.

With established names, experienced performers and some incredible young talent all sharing the brand, is it really fair to keep calling NXT developmental?

💬 Let's hear your thoughts:

• Can NXT still be considered a developmental brand?

• Has the in-ring quality reached the level of Raw and SmackDown?

• Is NXT now a third main roster brand in everything but name?

• Should WWE continue using NXT to develop future stars?

• Does NXT have its own identity that makes it just as important as the main roster?

• Would you like to see NXT become a fully equal third brand?

There are arguments on both sides, and it'll be interesting to see where everyone stands.

👇 So, what do you think? Is NXT still developmental, or has it become something much bigger?

The Smark Report – Where Wrestling Fans Come Together.

John Cena is bringing something new to WWE, and it's certainly got people talking!

The first-ever John Cena Classic is set to take place on December 14, 2026, at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

The event will feature some of WWE's biggest names from Raw and SmackDown going up against the brightest future Superstars from NXT.

John Cena has also unveiled a brand-new John Cena Classic Championship, and there's an interesting twist: members of Club WWE will get to vote in real time for their favourite Superstar performance, with the WWE Universe helping decide who receives the night's top honour.

Cody Rhodes & Zilla Fatu hav already been announced as the first participants, but who else could we see involved?

💬 Let's get talking!

• Are you excited about the John Cena Classic?

• What do you think of the idea of Raw and SmackDown Superstars facing NXT talent?

• Who would you like to see invited to take part?

• Should established main-event stars compete against rising NXT talent?

• What do you think of the new John Cena Classic Championship?

• Do you like the idea of fans having a say in who receives the top honour?

• Who would be your pick to win the first-ever John Cena Classic?

Personally, I'm interested to see how WWE puts this together and which Superstars get the opportunity to shine.

👇 Who would you choose as the winner of the first John Cena Classic?

Every WWE roster has Superstars who fans believe deserve more opportunities.

We want to know who you think deserves a bigger opportunity in WWE!

• Which Superstar deserves a bigger push?

• Should they be competing for championships?

• Would you like to see them turn heel or face?

• Do you think WWE is currently using them correctly?
