This explains it very well. The guy who won against the bank on his foreclosure was pretty cool too.

Good for Jerome challenging the bank! I'm happy he won the settlement. We're basically forced to work until we die, retirement funds will possibly cease to exist by the time my generation is able to retire. Thank you for sharing this video!

Yes, it is a good break down of it. If you'd like to watch another similar video that describes it in a slightly different way with better visuals, I'd recommend Hidden Secrets of Money Episode 4.

Seriously, it was a very big win that can't be celebrated enough. Why? It's because we don't get to see it everyday where someone get to win the bank the way Jerome did. It's indeed a worthwhile exposure.

Ya, I'm sure the bank lawyers have gotten smarter and would be impossible to win using the same argument.

Maybe. Maybe not. They aren't creating a valid form of consideration when they create currency out of nothing for the loan.

Although they may have changed the language of the loan.

I think you hit the nail on the head there, the contracts probably changed.

Or maybe it's just that people, including lawyers, don't know this.

I agree. Our academic system have been overlooking so many important things they should be impacting on kids when they are younger because it helps build their foundation.
