I work at a bank in operations, and my manager got on the subject of having a financial advisor in a meeting she had with myself and a few other people who were new to the department. She mentioned that she has one, it makes sense to have one right? Or are you better off just managing your spending and budgeting on your own?
Depends, if you ask me. If you have assets like property and make enough to be able to save a decent amount, then yeah.
If you live paycheck to paycheck and have very little savings, then probably not. How can they help you more than you already can if you can barely set extra aside?
Also you have to find a good one, not just run of the mill. I personally wouldn't trust anyone who doesn't know how currency is created in our current monetary system, doesn't know the difference between money and currency, and doesn't know that when you buy securities like stocks or bonds that you don't actually own them. They could be very good at managing stuff, but IMO, they need to understand these basics.
My experience is traditional financial planners hate gold and silver. They don't make much money off that. They want to sell you stuff that helps make them money. Stocks/bonds n stuff.
I believe it can be, it depends on the provider you choose. You will always run into financial advisors that leech on you for your money and try to sell you services you don't even need. However, I've seen first handedly from friends and family who use recommended financial planners throughout the years and they are in a much better place because of it. Their financial planner actually sat down with them, listened to them, and educated them on where they should put their money and what to do with it.
I think it's incredibly helpful when managing multiple accounts, properties, and before making large purchases to understand your buying power.
Hiring a financial advisor costs you money. If you have a huge asset to manage, having a financial advisor can certainly help. But if you have small assets, I think you can manage it on your own. However, you need to build knowledge as well.

If I have a lot of properties such as buildings, major assets in the stock, or cryptocurrency market, I can't deal with it alone without hiring a financial advisor. It is the financial advisor that can help me handle those assets even knowing when it is time to sell them off.

Yeah that's when I would get one to help, lots of properties.
