What is your favorite browser?

For the longest time, my favourite browser was Opera GX. I had been using Opera GX from early 2023 up until the end of 2025, after I started noticing a lot of lagging issues and issues with the browser itself.

I have since changed from Opera GX to Google Chrome and would have to say that is now my favourite browser at the moment and I have not had any issues so far.

Chrome is my favorite browser, but I also use Safari on my phone. Chrome has been my favorite for the longest time.

Both you and I

I'm not a fan of Chrome honestly. It uses way too much RAM. I use Firefox on my phone and sometimes on my computer. I mainly use Brave these days.

JennyorAlice · 7 months ago

I normally use Mozilla Firefox.

I can use anything as long as it's not Exolorer. That's slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter.

For a long time my favourite browser was Opera GX. I used it from early 2023 until the end of 2025, but I started noticing quite a bit of lag and some general issues with the browser. Because of that I switched over to Google Chrome, and at the moment it’s definitely my favourite. It’s been running smoothly for me so far and I haven’t had any problems with it.

It's definitely going to be Google chrome. I've used so many of them for years including Internet Explorer and Firefox but Google chrome have stood out for me over the years.

Google Chrome was my go to PC browser until I started seeing incompatibility on some sites. I can’t remember how I came to choose Opera GX but it’s my go-to browser. However lately I’m seeing some issues with it that may force me to change again…

I’ve been using Google Chrome for most of my life. When I first got into PCs, I used Opera or Internet Explorer. I didn’t know the differences back then. I was too young to know all the tech stuff. I know a lot of people say that Chrome takes a toll on RAM, but I have enough for multitasking. If I had to choose a different browser, I would probably go with Brave. They seem to be developing it with care, and it offers more features than Chrome. It’s also a lightweight browser.

I have never heard of Brave What do you think will be different and more useful that Brave will have that you do not see in Google Chrome?

Brave browser is very good to be very honest. If I'm to ever drop using Google Chrome, it's definitely going to be Brave I'm switching to. The security features of Brave is incredible.

I use Librewolf. A privacy fork of FireFox. Brave as a secondary.

I know FireFox but never heard of Librewolf.

Brave browser is the only alternative I can use to replace Chrome.

How good is this Librewolf compared to Brave in your opinion?

If you don't like Firefox, you won't like Librewolf as it's the same with more private settings. I like FF so it is just as good as chrome to me.

Are all these browsers open source as all seem to be the same?

Chrome isn't but chromium(what it's based on) is. FireFox is also open source which is why there are so many forks of them.

Brave has a built-in adblocker, increased security, it allows you to play video and music in the background on your phone free of charge. It also has a built-in VPN, but I don't know how good it is. Also, Brave uses less system resources.

I have always been making use of google chrome right from time. I find it easier and friendlier than every other browsers I have tried to use.

My favorite browser used to be UC Browser, but I later switched back to Chrome. There is nothing special about Chrome, but it gets the work done without having to download an extra browser.

Sherlock Bones · 2 weeks ago

I hate chromium. They announced a while back (I don’t know if they did it, but the fact that they were thinking about it was enough for me to run from) that if you were caught using adblocker they could ban your youtube account, google account, etc. after that I went back to firefox and haven’t looked back. It’s one of the only browsers not using that trash. Support the people who are making the changes you want to see amirite

I really like using DuckDuckGo browser. It is a lightweight browser. The good thing about this browser is the fact that it does not consume much RAM. It is a private browser, so it also blocks ads. There are, however, a few downsides of this browser. For example, it does not record your history, as it is a private browser. So, once your page is gone, it is gone!
