Do you take part in post exchanges to help build your forum content?

Another great way to help build up content and also engagement in your forum is to take part in forum post exchanges with other forum owners.

This is something that I have done quite often in the past, and as much as it can help with content and engagement, a lot of the time, the quality of the content is not always high or the greatest.

Do you take part in post exchanges to help build forum content?

I do. In fact, it if wasn't for the exchanges, my forum would sound like an echo chamber! LOL

I do find that the people who do accept the challenge to post on my forum spark interesting conversations that I would never thought of. Should I do more Post Exchanges? Absolutely. But also remember, that every minute you're off of your own form, that's energy that's being directed away from your forum. And until there's a substantial number of members posting regularly, that's an expensive commitment. There in lies the problem.

I engage on post exchanges with other forum owners time to time, I don't do regular exchanges but I do it when my forum needs activities and I also have time to post on someone else's forum

Most of the post exchange are quantity over quality most times. Most of them are rushing to write anything just to complete their quota. I tried it many times, didn't get the desired result. So, I gave up.

I don't have a forum myself but doing post exchanges is a great way to bring in new content from different members, especially in the early stages, when your forum needs to get boards filled up. But it's important to stick to good quality content, instead of having someone write posts that are low-value just to complete their side of the exchange.

Not in a while.

But I plan to start doing it very selectively.

I can usually give some really good-quality posts, but I see a lot of low-quality returned posts. So, that makes me want to be extremely selective.
