Do people whine too much about college etc.?

A lot of people whine about how college didn’t pay off. But the problem is that you can expect to be entitled to work with a college degree, unless the degree is in nursing or something.

Well, the way I look at it is that you probably need to do more of your own initiative. For instance, a person with a philosophy degree (the classic useless degree) could attempt a successful blog or forum - and another person could attempt a math instruction video channel (something I want to do).

But a person could also land some high paying blue collar job after graduating college, cause you know, everyone who is educated isn’t weak 😁(joke) - but it’s nice to know the degree was for something.

There are those whose attitude has been the reason they are yet to get a job. It can be a mess in the sense that they fail to understand the need to take their work seriously. Some have also believed that because they get the best degree, they should be paid higher at entry level without knowing that things don't work that way at all.

Yeah, it's a brutal job search, unless, as I said, you're in a field like nursing, some teaching subjects etc..

College can be useful but it doesn't guarantee you a job. You need to add skills and hustle to your qualifications as well. That's what I do too. You could start a blog or YouTube channel.

College is good and useful if you can afford it without breaking your back. If you can't, it's best to focus on acquiring a good skill.

I’ve graduated from university in the field of education, and I also have a degree in 2 other languages. The only way it would pay off for me is if I work as a private teacher. I’m actually planning to do so, but after I gain more experience working as a classroom teacher.
