Do you prefer a dark theme or a light theme on your forum? Why do you prefer that one?
I like our light theme here but I also like some dark themes on forums.
I prefer dark themes myself, light themes are too bright and they hurt my eyes. I offer both dark and light themes on my forums though, I think every forum should have the option for both.
I think it depends on the website, some light themes can be better than dark due to their constrat, while other times the inverse is correct. For me, I tend to allow for visitors to select either light or dark (or will guess based on their system/browser signals on if I should load the dark or light theme automaticlly for them).
During the day, typically I’ll go with light, but I’m a night owl so dark themes are generally my preference.
It all depends on how I feel.
If I feel a little sick, dark themes for some reason are easier on me.
Otherwise, I usually prefer light themes.
I prefer having a light theme, but I recently created a dark theme so that my members have a choice if they’d like to use it.
