Did You Start Saving Money When You Were Still a Student

DigitalNomad · 1 week ago · 3 replies · 40

A lot of students I know are saving money. However, when I was a student, I didn’t save money, whenever I received money, I spent it. But if you are a student how can you start saving. Well, you first need to reduce unnecessary expenses. Don’t spend too much on movies, games, phone bills, junk food, and dining out. If you can cut down these habits, you will be able to create surplus money that you can save for future needs.

As a student, I don't save and I spend everything. If I had saved some money, it could have help me later on in life. But you learn as you grow.

I started saving money in high school. Unfortunately, I didn’t know about investing back then. I just kept it in cash. If I had invested it back then, it would have grown a lot with the performance spikes in the recent years.

I had a wooden piggy bank when I was still a kid. My mother taught me how to start saving money at a very young age and that helped me a lot now as an adult.
