Attracting more active members to a forum is not easy, but it is very much possible.

Take a look at the topics trending within your niche and build up content based on those trending topics. You can guarantee that someone is looking for information or discussions on those trending topics, and that is a good way to bring members in who will be interested in your forum and your content.

Go to where your forum audience hangs out - online and offline.

Make friends with them. Be as helpful and kind as you can. Be real and genuine.

Then start inviting these people to join your forum. Emphasize that it gives them instant access to you and that it would mean a lot to each of them to join.

Keep that friendship going.
