What's the best way to promote a new forum?
Offering something free that people want is a good way to get noticed. Another good way to get attention is offer useful things in exchange for posts.
Promoting a new forum nowadays is not as easy as it used to be, say 10 years ago or so. Many will only bother with a forum now if the content within the forum is something they have an interest in or provides them with quality.
I have found that offering content that I know people will be looking for and that would benefit others has been a good way to promote forums.
Give the members something they are looking for and a reason to come back.
