Do you like Yu-Gi-Oh?

I’m asking about the anime, the video games, and the trading card game—do you like them or not? If you do, which seasons do you enjoy? Or do you like all of them? Since each season essentially introduced new cards and mechanics—across the video games, the anime, and the real-life card game—do you enjoy it overall? Which seasons or games from the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise do you like? Personally, I love it—the real-life card game, the video games, and especially the anime. That said, the more recent seasons are my least favorite; I loved everything up through 5D's, but after that, I found the series just "acceptable"—it didn't quite capture me the way the earlier seasons did. What about you?

I actually semi-recently stopped collecting Yu-Gi-Oh TCG cards because I no longer have the funds to cater to the game. I started collecting, playing, and watching Yu-Gi-Oh soon after it first came to the USA. Likewise, I’ve had thousands of Yu-Gi-Oh cards throughout my life.

I’ve only seen the original Yu-Gi-Oh TV series and very few episodes of GX. I love the original characters and monsters. Blue-Eyes, the God cards, Exodia, etc. Kaiba is probably my favorite character.

I used to own the DDS Blue-Eyes White Dragon, which is apparently worth 1K+ now. I was a foolish teenager and traded it away.

Furthermore, I still have Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel on my iPhone, but I rarely play it.

Wow, what a lovely story! So, you really love the classic Yu-Gi-Oh, but you didn't watch any further after that—you just stuck with that original series? And as for the games, did you only play Master Duel? Didn't you play any others? I actually have several Yu-Gi-Oh decks from various seasons, not just the first one.

Yeah, classic Yu-Gi-Oh is what I’ve mainly seen. I watched about 3 of the first episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh GX on Crunchyroll, but I think I’m just too attached to the classic series.

I’ve played many Yu-Gi-Oh games over the years. Duel Links is something I used to play occasionally too, and when I had a working gaming laptop I would play Legacy of the Duelist.

My current decks on Master Duel are Blue-Eyes, Nurse Burn, Mill, God Deck, and Exodia.

Yeah, I figured your decks were like that—very classic. You know what’s great about you sticking to the classic style? It makes it easy to understand what cards are in your decks and what kind of strategy you’re using. In your "God" deck, do you have all of them, or just one? Which one was your favorite—Ra, Obelisk, or Slifer? I never really liked playing with Exodia; gathering all the pieces takes too long—at least, that was the case in the classic era. In the current game, though, there are so many trap cards, spells, and effect monsters that, with all the possible combos, you could easily assemble all five pieces of Exodia and summon it in just a couple of turns.
