Every forum has their rules and regulations that guide the activities on the forums. But there are some members that must surely break those rules.

How do you handle these ones in your community?

Breaking rules is a serious problem. If a member keeps breaking rules, then I may try to talk to them. I may tell them that if they keep breaking the rules, there will be bad consequences. I am quite sure that good members shall comply with the rules. However, if they keep breaking the tikes, then I may nlhave no option but to suspend their account.

You have to act as early as possible.

If you let one person break the rules but not the other, then you’re a hypocrite - plain and simple- and it would be hard for me to trust you.

If you don’t enforce your rules, why make them in the first place?

Enforce them now. Get rid of those who constantly break them and shape your community into one where the rules matter.

If they keep breaking rules and if they continue to do it despite a few friendly reminders, I will warn them. If warning does not work, I will ban them. But this has happened only once in my forums. A user continued to copy content from other forum and post on mine, I asked them to stop doing it but they continued, so I banned them.
