What is the story behind your username?

S · 3 years ago · 33 replies · 218

Everyone has a username and a lot of the time, there is usually a story behind the username. I thought it would be nice for people to share the story behind their usernames.

Mine is Shortie and I got that back when I was in school due to me being short, many of my friends used to say I was cute as well, and due to that, they would call me Shortie for short and cute.

What is the story behind your username?

Mine is just my name. I used to go by Maroon Caludin till just a few years ago. That’s just the name of one of my characters.

I am a true legend that's why :p
I really struggled to find a suitable avatar, as I didn't realise that true legend is also the name of a movie lool :p

Yep! I think I originally came up with that sites name not long after I came up with the name. Which was a loooong time ago.

Just a friendly suggestion, as lovely as I think that name is, I suspect the site would get way more views if you were to use a more descriptive site name :)

That could be, but I don’t see me changing it. I’ve had that domain since I was a teenager, and am kinda attached to it.

Aw, so that site's been going for a long time?
I guess one benefit is only your friends would really join, to help out and stuff like that. And that leads to the formation of a nice community of real, genuine friends rather than a bunch of strangers/acquaintances you barely know <3

Honestly I’ve had non-friends join which I did end up getting friendly with.

Regardless this isn’t really about my site. Just our names. ;)

On a serious note Kale is there a rule about off-topic posts and derailing threads?
I can have a tendency to thread-bomb when i'm hyper :p

Ha yeah I didn’t want to completely move it off topic.

Sorry about that, bet you wouldn't mind if it was about me though cuz i am AMAZINGGG 😻😻😻

Shortie is the thread owner and Kale is the site owner so let's respect their rules, aye :D

Well, my favorite color is Violet. My best friend used to call me Clara(She is a character from 'Heidi, Girl of the Alps'.

My name is Henry and considering that the fact that I enjoy writing, I decided to go with Henrywrites to show that I am a writer.

There's no story behind my username. If there's any, it should be my parents be the best to answer it because it's my name I use as my username. My name is good enough for me to use it as my username.

Where are you from? Sounds like a Chinese name :)

Words have always been fascinating to me. I like making up names to be different. It’s one way to stand out. So my username, ZandraJoi, is just something that sounded nice :)
I always liked threads like these. We get to know more about a person.

You're welcome to post up a thread or PM me if you need assistance. Bear in mind it's been a while since I've touched it though. Worked on it 4-5 years ago for a university project :)

Raven is the best DC comics hero, and I had a really huge crush on her whenever I came up with this username. xD

Mine, nothing much. I try to use a good username, positive, attractive and friendly. If it is already taken, I try to add a word to it.
