Are search engines bringing you actual engagement, or just drive-by traffic?

Yarik · 1 week ago · 1 reply · 58

Search engine traffic is a great way to boost overall page views, but high numbers do not always translate into an active community.

A lot of visitors arriving from Google or Bing are just looking for a quick answer to a specific question. They read what they need and leave within seconds without ever checking out the rest of the site or making an account. It makes you wonder how much SEO traffic actually converts into regular, returning members.

Are search engines bringing genuine engagement and long-term activity to your site, or are you mostly just seeing drive-by traffic?

Getting traffic that converts to ale is one of the most crucial part here. It does not matter whether you get your traffic from search engines or social media. Quantity of traffic does matter a lot when it comes to getting unique visitors. However, the quality of the visitors also matter a lot.
