What do you eat more, plant based foods or animal based foods?

Nomad · 6 months ago · 10 replies · 3K

Even though I love meat, I don't eat meat much, my food is largely vegetarian. My daily diet consists of rice, bread, green leafy vegetables, root vegetables, and other kinds of vegetables. I eat meat products only a couple of times in a week.

Plant based. Vegan since 2017.

I tend to combine both of them most of the time. There are health benefits in both which is why I don't want to give up anyone.

I must admit that I eat animal-based food more. However, I do like vegetables like pumpkin, cucumber, beetroot, carrot, peas, etc. I also love to eat potato as well. I also like spinach juice as well.

For me it’s kind of split. Animal‑based foods are usually the “main event” of a meal, the part I plan around, but when I look at everything I actually eat throughout the day, plants probably win by volume. Between grains, potatoes, veggies, and all the little sides and snacks, plant‑based foods end up being the majority without me even trying.

So even though I love meat and it’s usually the centerpiece, the overall balance of my diet leans more plant‑based just because of how often those foods show up in everything else I eat.

Animal-origin. I try to eat a well balanced diet with a generous portion of fiber to help with digestion.

Plant based food has nearly become compulsory. These days it's beans, yam, vegetables and rice that filled my plate more. I discovered that my body even feels lighter when I reduce too much red meat.
