If you had to delete every app on your phone except three, which ones survive the purge?

I was just checking my bank app now because I don't receive alerts like I used to. I don't know how true it is, but someone told me it's because I have too many apps on my phone. If you are mandated to delete apps and remain 3 there, it's a serious decision. For me, WhatsApp, bank app and maybe Chrome would make it to the top 3. These three apps are like life support at this point.

This is a good question, but also a tough one, as I use quite a few apps on my phone daily.

If I really had to choose 3 that could stay installed on my phone, they would probably be the banking app, WhatsApp and Weverse. I feel I would be fine just keeping those three and not missing out on much.

I would have to keep my text app which is Google Text, I would also keep Pokemon Go and finally Firefox so I can visit websites. The only other game I play daily is a puzzle game called Block Blast and I definitely prefer Pokemon Go to that game. I need to be able to text my wife, and other people as well.

WhatsApp, Instagram, and Google Chrome, or WhatsApp, YouTube, and Google Chrome. I can open Instagram and YouTube without problems with Google Chrome, but for convenience, I'd choose one, so Chrome is the only option, just like WhatsApp, since I can't be out of touch.

What about the PayPal app? I reckon that many people use PayPal account and they usually use an app associated with their PayPal account 🙂 I reckon that when you mention banking apps, you included PayPal as well?

Since we live in a house that has dead zones, I need to hang onto my Google Voice app, so that's #1. Now I'm thinking the camera and photos would not be considered extra in this scenario?? My grocery store app would be #2 and for the last I'd choose Authy to get into things for 2FA.

This is going to be a very serious decision 😂 WhatsApp is sure, bank app and the third one would be a browser. In this era, your phone is your office, wallet and connection put together.

It's great that you have a 2FA authenticator. Many people don't have it activated and have no idea how dangerous it is; their data is completely vulnerable. I recommend you start using other 2FA methods right away, like Aegis and 2FAS Authy. Both allow you to export your keys, so even if these two applications cease to exist, you'll still have your keys saved and secure. On the other hand, Google's Authy application is complete garbage; it doesn't allow you to do this at all. So start migrating right away. If you don't believe me, look for reviews from other people; you'll see that Authy is complete garbage. You can't export your keys; you're trapped by that application. It's totally insecure.

I'll keep my bank app or any apps linked to my money because they are very important and I can't survive without them. I will also keep my health app and Google sheet.

I would save my banking apps. That's the most important thing to me............to keep up with what is in my bank account and such.

Our money is definitely very much important to each and everyone of us. There's no way we can be able to get through the day without spending money. Those bank apps are vital for survival.
