What's a question you wish people would stop asking you?

U Uptrend · 6 months ago · 20 replies · 4K

One of my uncles just asked me “so when are you going to marry?” I was weak. That question can be very annoying. My mum and my uncle keep asking me the same question all over, as if life doesn't already have enough pressure already. People need to understand that everybody is fighting their own battle quietly.

You guessed it "How old are you?" It really bugs me. @-)

I have gotten the "when are you due" :(( X(

For me, it would be the "Are you okay?"

If I hear that question one more time from people who know what life has thrown at me this year, I may get very upset.

The way I look at it is I am coping, and that is more than enough at the moment.

When I say I work online, a lot of people ask me if I am actually making real money. I wish people just stopped asking me that question.

I don't enjoy when people ask about my age. I may look younger, but it is not the best for anyone to begin to ask questions relating to my age when it has nothing to do with the discussion that I am having with them.

I also kept getting asked the same question again and again. This question can put a lots of pressure on you. I really hope that I have an answer to that question sooner because I am already facing a lots of problems in life.

When are you getting married” really tuned into interrogation at some point. Last Christmas one of my aunty ask me that same thing like it's the priority now? 😂 I just smiled but inside me I was tired. People don't even want to consider the pressure that we are facing already. This is exactly why I avoid family gatherings these days.

I hate it when people are so insensitive and ask the most obvious questions. One of such is “when will you get married?” Can we leave people alone to make important decisions in their lives without pressuring them?

I get pissed off when someone ask me how much I make. Like wtf! What's your business with trying to know how much I make? Do you want to come and rob me or what?

How's my dating life going.

I really hate it when people ask me how much I earn and what I do for a living. This question really upsets me because I am not earning that much money. This question pressurizes me a lot, which is never a good thing in the first place.

I get this same exact question all the time, as soon as I hit my upper 20's, all my friends and family started asking when I would get married and start having kids. I have been in a relationship with my girlfriend for about 6 years so I get the question at any family event or dinner. The more I'm asked, the less I want to do it for them :p But on a serious note, I plan on doing it soon but the question does get old every time I hear it. I wish more people would pick up on hints and mind their business. Everyone's timelines are different.

"How was your day?" or "Hi, how are you?" Both of those questions always get the same response from me.

I don't mind really being asked questions if it is one on one but when there is a large group of people and I get questions like: When will you get a girlfriend, when will you get a stable job.. Bro, stick to your life.

I really hate it whenever people ask me if I'm ever going to get married or have another girlfriend. After my last experience in relationship, I would love to be left alone with anything concerning getting married or having a girlfriend.

This is a question that I don't enjoy when anyone asks it. I mean it is none of your business and you should not be asking me questions about my personal life.

I accept it in good humor when the intentions behind it are genuine but a lot of the time it's meant to be teasing.

Do you have any money?

But I understand people's situations and I've asked before myself, but it's something I wish I didn't have to deal with or have to deal with from myself.
