When did you create your first forum?

I remember back in 2004, when I was introduced to forums, and it was then that I decided to start creating my own forums. In the beginning, I did have issues, but through the errors and issues that I ran into, I learned so much from those, and now I run forums quite easily.

I created my first forum back in 2009. I had no clue what I was doing and I picked the most complicated forum software to use as a beginner, phpBB. I didn't know how to properly set up permissions and I didn't know how to promote the forum either. It was a Pokemon forum but it was based around ROM hacking and I wasn't even familiar with ROM hacking when I made the forum. It was destined to fail from the get-go. xD

I created my first forum in 2017. I was running a multi author blogs where I had a half a dozen in house writers. I created a support forum for in-house writers to share their payment proof, discuss writing and share topics to write. When I sold the blog, the new owner decided to shut down the forum.

I still remember mine like yesterday 😂 it was 2012. That first forum didn't even last for one month before I abandoned it but the excitement was on a different level. I literally started with trial and error. Those early mistakes was what shaped most of us now.

I can't really remember when I started my first real forum. I think it was around 2015. I got started on Postloop thru some search engine search. It was awesome back then. You could really earn some good "beer money", so to speak. Anyway, I wanted my own forum and I had better knowledge of how to make one (how to stop spambots, for instance). And I could use Postloop to get posts was a big thing.
