Do you prefer post package completion to be slow or fast?

Shortie · 6 months ago · 6 replies · 11K

I know of a few forums that offer a post package service on their forums, and even though it is great that they offer this service, sometimes this service can be quite slow, depending on the workload of the staff who complete the packages.

Do you prefer post packages to be fast or slow when you order them for your forums?

Depends on how much I order. If it's a small package then it shouldn't take anymore than between a few hours and 24 hours.

I want posting packages to be completed fast, perhaps within 5 days of package request. If a package member cannot complete it in 5 days, I believe they shouldn't tag the package. I also work as a posting package on one forum and I always try to finish it fast.

Nobody has that patience again. I don't think it's good to order package and wait for days. I don't want to kill my motivation. If service is slow, it can kill the momentum honestly. It's better to do it quickly no matter what it takes.

I prefer packages to be drawn out and the reason is because I don't want my members knowing that it's a posting package. I want them to think that the poster is there to actually be a part of the community. And that leads me to my next train of thought, which is, if that poster returns, I'd like him/her to pick up some of the conversations they started.

I prefer smaller packages to be done as soon as possible. For larger ones I do like for them to be spread out and take their time on the package. I always make sure to get my packages that I tagged done in a timely fashion because I don't want the customer to be waiting. It doesn't look good if a package takes weeks IMO.

I think that posting packages should be done fast or late, depending on the type of package. Some people want them to be completed soon, but I do not think that there is anything wrong with delaying it. Completing the package too soon may mean that the staff member completing the package may leave the forum early and it may not be a good sign.
