When it comes to building forums, we have multiple options, we can use free hosted forums, open source, premium software or even cloud hosting solutions. Until now how many forum software have you used?
I have used half a dozen forum software to build my forums. I first used wordpress, then started using open source and finally premium software.

I've used at least 10 different ones. I've tried most of the free hosted forums such as Proboards, Zetaboards when it was still online, Forumotion, a few different SMF free hosted platforms, fluxbb/punbb, XMB, SMF, phpBB, MyBB, Xenforo, Woltlab Suite, UBBThreads, vBulletin, Forum Spark, Jcink, and Kunena which is a Joomla forum extension. I also used Tapatalk since one of my forums that was hosted on Freeforums.com was bought out by Tapatalk. Another host I used in the past that shut down was prophpbb.

I lost count long ago 😂 Responsibilities won't let me. I started with phpBB, then jumped to WordPress. I have even tried XenFor. Now, I am back to phpbb and smf. These days I just stick to what fit my pocket.
