What's your favorite gaming franchise?

If you're a gamer what's your favorite gaming franchise of all time? Mine is Sonic the Hedgehog! The very first Sonic game was the first game I ever played at the age of 4 in 1994. Ever since I've been hooked. I love the series so much that I also like to modify the 8-bit games and have been working on a split disassembly of a few games. :P

Mine would have to be either Donkey Kong, Mario or both. I really love those franchises. In fact, that's why my default choice for gaming is always a Nintendo console.

Note: I also like Sonic, but not as much.

@Ravenfreak My favourite gaming franchise would be Doom. I have played many other games as well that I really like. However, if I have to pick a game that I would play for the test of my life, then it would be certainly the Doom gaming franchise.

The Harry Potter games or the Mario games. The Harry Potter games would be my first choice but the Mario games would be a close second.

Another gaming franchise I love is Madden. I love Madden Football (American Football). It's a lot of fun and John Madden's voice is legendary.
